This hyper features a mix of mobility and disruptive skills that are perfect for newcomers. He can launch ambushes or retreat from bad situations in an instant, all while growing stronger as his health gets lower.
The Lion Clan has only ever numbered a few hundred, but that's all they've ever needed. Each member of the clan has the strength to take on an entire army alone, and has indeed done so on more than one occasion. Their undeniable power is why they command the largest territory, and why other creatures are so ready to appease them, lest the lions decide to expand their holdings. But the Lion Clan was not always the dominant force in the world. Long ago, they lost nearly everything they had and were pushed to the edge of oblivion. They would wander the wilderness by night, camping out in claimed territory and scurrying off into the night once discovered. Without the power to claim land for themselves or take what they needed, it seemed the end had come for these proud people.
On one fateful day, a lioness gave birth in the middle of a field. It was deep into winter, and with her heavy belly she could hardly keep up with the clan as it moved on to the next place. She had already lost one child, and though she was alone she was determined not to lose another. Through blood and tears and the bitter cold, she brought her cub into the world and kept him safe until she could rejoin the clan. Little did she know the destiny that lay before her little Arslan.
"The weak are not pitiful. The weak are useless."Arslan became chief of the clan as the other male lions perished from illness or battle. He pledged that the clan would never again flee from their enemies or bow and scrape for the place to lay their heads. The clan changed that day, with Arslan teaching them how to hold weapons and strike at vital points instead of hiding and cowering. He cared not for male or female warriors, he only cared for those who would spill blood to make their clan great again. He left the weak and the sick to die, to save what little they had for those strong enough to fight. Only the strong can survive. That was the law of nature.
Arslan's talent for battle came naturally, and no one in the clan understood where it had come from. He resembled a hungry beast when he plunged into battle, and the ferocity of his blows were matched only by the grandeur of his weapons. Not once did he show his back to the enemy. If anything, Arslan grows stronger as he fights stronger enemies, rising to the challenge to ensure he will never be defeated. As the conqueror king of his lands, he has moved on to Hyper Universe and new lands to subjugate. For he does not fight for his clan, but for the glory of battle itself.
Spins forward in a whirl of blades, striking nearby enemies to inflict damage. When cast, cancels Movement Speed debuff effects and increases Movement Speed. While casting, ignores movement impairing effects.
Arslan isn't no cowardly lion, he fearlessly jumps into the fray causing chaos and panic as he debilitates and controls entire teams, getting stronger with more enemies surrounding him and the lower his health is and hurting enemies more the less their health is.
As a Hyper, Arslan is incredibly simple to learn as he doesn't have to manage anything and his passive makes him naturally sturdy, making him an excellent choice for first time players, however Arslan has the potential to make game changing plays due to his high mobility and AOE control which can leave a lot to be desired for in the wrong hands.
His "Pounce" is as terrifying as it is effective, Arslan leaps high into the air before crashing back into the ground stunning anyone he lands near. The skill sends him way above any ranged projectiles and low hitting CC allowing him to traverse the battlefield relatively unharmed. Once he lands he can debilitate the enemy team with his defense stealing "Tenderizer" and keep them under control with "Battle Roar". If your team isn't able, or doesn't follow up your engagement, his "Whirling Blades" will allow you to easily escape and reposition. However if your team does follow up, hold on to "Whirling Blades" in the event the enemy escapes and your team is slowed or was stunned "Whirling Blades" will allow you to keep up the pursuit, if you catch up you can slow them with "Battle Roar" for an easy target for a stationary "Pounce" or a forward "Pounce" followed by "Battle Roar" if "Whirling Blades" doesn't put you in the center of the enemy team.
His ultimate "Primal Fury" is a devastating ability that Arslan can use pretty reliably following a good engagement, the push distance is tremendous and stuns enemies hit, but be aware he is neither restricting effect or interference effect immune while casting, so it's very possible that he can get countered. In a good scenario, following the standard combo of "Pounce", "Tenderizer", "Battle Roar" you use "Whirling Blades" to reposition yourself on the side that you want to be on before bringing the whole enemy team together. However if absolutely necessary you can use "Primal Fury" followed by "Battle Roar" to peel for your team followed by using "Pounce" and "Whirling Blades" to escape, since Arslan is able to cover a large distance between these two skills, it's generally unlikely that any Hyper will be able to pursue him if he doesn't want to fight, as such it's very important to deal with Arslan while either of these skills are on cooldown.
Arslan's weakness is that also he greatest strength, he's simple and that simplicity leads him to be an extremely predictable Hyper, not that he isn't effective as there is always the fear of getting pounced since the defense debuff and slow is crippling, and even more so if his ultimate is available and the slow prevents most attempts of escape. In addition like many Hypers, his offensive skills also double as defensive skills which means that you must make the decision of sacrificing the skills utility in the event something happens.
