Migenhardt is one of the playable Hypers in Hyper Universe.

Introduction[ | ]

Migenhardt thrives in constant battle, requiring a steady stream of blood to fuel his powers. His skills allow him to absorb health from enemies and use stronger abilities with shorter cooldowns, making him less predictable the longer the battle lasts. He is a challenging hyper to control, however, and is weak against burst damage.

Story[ | ]

There are whispers of the way things used to be, where the "day" would be a time of great light and power. This light came from something called the "sun" which rose and shined on every corner of the world. Plants grew healthy and strong under this light, and evil was chased away into the shadows. In this time of light, humans were the rulers of the world, and they built a great kingdom that spanned far and wide. In the "sun", humans could even hunt monsters to keep their towns and villages safe.

These are but legends, of course. Hundreds of years ago, the sun ceased to be. Day never came, and light never again touched the fallow earth. Creatures that grow strong in the darkness rose up and consumed that which subsisted on light. With no power to stand against them, monsters roamed freely and practiced their cruel and vicious and decadent and corrupted ways. Screams could be heard at all hours, blood soaked the land, and humans were little more than prey. In this world of eternal darkness, the vampires reigned supreme.

Vampires subsist on blood, and there is no blood richer than that of humans. In the face of overwhelming evil and certain destruction the human population gave themselves over to the vampires, reasoning that certain death at a later date was better than certain death now. Humans are little more than servants and livestock to their vampire lords, and some even revere their masters as twisted gods.

`"I refuse! Remove this foul-blooded creature from my sight!" Among vampires, Migenhardt is one of the highest nobles in his clan. This fact has not escaped him, as he is known to be far more cruel and judgmental than even his fellow nobles. He considers any creature besides vampires filthy and insignificant, and refuses to drink the blood of ordinary humans. Instead he demands the pure blood of newborn babes, sometimes drawn by his own wicked claws. There is not a hint of remorse or mercy to be found within him, as he considers death at the hands of a noble vampire to be the highest honor a human can hope for.

Migenhardt recently killed every human that served him because the weather was poor that day, despite the weather always being poor in a world of eternal night. His temper has grown worse over time and he requires more victims to assuage it. That is why he has chosen to travel to Hyper Universe, to find more lowly creatures to kill. And he will keep killing, again and again, until the deluge of blood calms the rage in his unbeating heart.

Popular Common Equipment insert chart with common gear

Migenhardt favors equipment that bolsters Cooldown Reduction and Life Steal, Attack and Defense stacking is dependent on the build and playstyle. As a Hyper Migenhardt is one of the sturdiest Hypers in the game, putting some of the tankiest of Hypers to shame. With a proper build Migenhardt can easily surpass 6000 health near end game and have decent stats otherwise, although you'll want to avoid stacking Defense with Migenhardt. Migenhardt is capable of incredible Life Steal and while he may achieve big Health numbers because of this and while Defense would seem to be the right path to take, Attack is Life Steal's best friend and thus his too. By bolstering his Attack you can ensure optimal returns on his Life Steal such that Migenhardt can thrive in the middle of a fight, with or without his abilities available. By stacking Defense, you reduce your damage potential and lower damage equals lower Life Steal. However, if you feel you need to stack Defense then you must remember to maximize his Cooldown Reduction. Since you cannot rely on damage alone to sustain your Health you have to rely on his other abilities to do it for you. Call of Blood restores a fixed amount of Health when it lands, this is nifty as it means you can actually heal when hitting a Turret and it is incredibly reliable. His Ultimate, Feast of Blood on the other hand restores all damage done in his aura as Health, which means as long as you keep the enemy Hypers in your aura, you just have to rely on your teammates to dish out the damage for you.

Strategy[ | ]

Migenhardt is a fearsome Hyper that dominates the battlefield through great control and amazing sustainability. However he is also one of the most difficult Hypers to learn and master, so he is not recommended for new comers. As Migenhardt you stand proudly at the front of your team soaking up tremendous amounts of damage and healing it just as easily while at the same time expertly controlling the enemy team, whether it is through his infamous double Blood Binding or by coralling them with enhanced Call of Blood or preventing escape with enhanced Hungering Flight, no matter the method Migenhardt is as effective as he is fearsome. Migenhardt makes the most of his skills in the middle of a team and he works well against just about any Hyper since his main control tool is a grapple which few Hypers have work arounds to and long fights are favorable to him as he can easily sustain himself and punish enemy Hypers for sticking around when he activates an enhanced ability. However quick fights are brutal to Migenhardt as he is plagued by incredibly long cooldowns and if he is not able to establish control of the situation he is easily isolated and eliminated as he has only 1 escape tool which is enhanced Hungering Flight. He has a zoning tool with Hungering Flight and generally commands respect as few players want to be near Migenhardt knowing of the kills he can easily set up, which makes him an excellent laner, although his damage is none too shabby which means he can also jungle if necessary. One of Migenhardts greatest assets is his Dark Slumber ability, this ability allows Migenhardt to move inside a coffin, removing all negative effects on him and preventing damage for a set time or set number of hits. All these nice bonuses come with a brutally long Cooldown. It does have a rather interesting skill curve however, while it can be used simply to avoid damage from enemy Hypers it can also be used as a tanking tool or a biding tool. In both cases you'll need to master the timing of the skill, when entering the coffin there is a small period before the ability starts where you take no damage and any hits you take do not count towards the hits on your coffin, learning how to optimize on that time frame will allow you to maximize on the ability but note the same does not apply when exiting the coffin, so beware as you can be caught as the ability ends. Additionally you cannot cancel the skill once activated so enemy Hypers can simply avoid damaging your coffin, putting you team in danger or if used at the wrong time, it can allow the enemy team to group around you and kill you. Proper management of your skills and Blood is essential to achieving victory as Migenhardt. The most important lesson to learn is skill management, improper use of his skills will guarantee death, but proper use will reward your team greatly.
