Trakakhan is one of the playable Hypers in Hyper Universe.
Introduction[ | ]
This hyper is best served by constant aggression, opening combat with surprising and damaging attacks. The more damage he builds, the more damage he can do as the battle progresses. He can also shrug off many disruptive skills, allowing him to maintain momentum.
Story[ | ]
Trakakhan suffered plenty of grief from the moment of his birth. He was the son of an unmarried woman, a blasphemy in their culture. He was enormous and strong for an infant, and had the hair of someone many times his age. On top of all that his skin was a deep blue, leading to intense curiosity over who his father was. His mother refused to speak on the topic, and so it was rumored she and her strange son were cursed by the gods for her impropriety.
As he grew older, what little resemblance he had to other children faded further. Ten days after he was born he could walk, he killed a bull when he was five years old, and stood two meters tall at age ten. The rumors about him swirled furiously, with folks supposing that he might be the son of a monster. No matter how much she was pushed, though, his mother would say nothing about his origin. At the age of 20, Trakakhan was prepared for the coming-of-age ceremony all men undergo in his culture. Though the day started clear, as the fated time approached the sky turned dark and wet, with rumblings of thunder off in the distance. His mother told him to run, to flee the village, but he would not. Before she could push him further, an unexpected guest appeared.
"H-he's your son. Look. He looks just like you. So, please... please spare him."She begged for his life from the titanic god who stood before them, and in an instant Trakakhan knew this was his father. But why did she beg? His question was to receive no answer, for his mother was struck by a bolt of lightning and killed. In the eyes of his father, he could see that the bolt was meant for him.
The god of thunder would not kill Trakakhan that day. There are rules about gods killing humans, and his mistake cost him his seat among the divine. His power waned, and he saw that Trakakhan gained what he had lost. So he retreated to plot anew, though his aims remain unclear to all. All he left was his son and the charred body of the poor mother. Trakakhan held her and cried out, and it seemed the heavens themselves answered his cry.
The power that fills Trakakhan, the power of the god of thunder, is what gives him the strength to carry on. He seeks only revenge against the man who murdered his mother. To gain the strength to do that, he travels to Hyper Universe to hone his command of the storms. He has sworn this course on his mother's pendant, and he will not fail her memory.
